ABOUT...

Formerly touring in the United States and Japan as vocalist/keyboardist for Richard Carpenter of The Carpenters, John Grover Lewis has delighted audiences world-wide through stage, recording, and broadcast performances.

Mr. Lewis was musical director for several years at Southern California's: "Tibbies Music Hall" featuring the world renowned YOUNG AMERICAN SONG AND DANCE COMPANY, and was featured by THE AMERICAN CHORAL DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION for piano performance and arranging. He has led worship and choirs for several prominent Southern California churches.

With a Bachelors of Music, and Masters work from Cal State University at Long Beach, and a Single Subject Credential from UC Irvine, Mr. Lewis holds extensive training as musical arranger, conductor, and accompanist under international choral director, clinician, and publisher: FRANK POOLER. As well, he has been mentored under music educational specialist: JANET SCHERMER/ Vocal Jazz leaders: BRENT PIERCE and GARY MCROBERTS, and concert pianist: EDITH NAHAS.

Mr. Lewis is a recording producer for Abbamedia, a music and video recording concern based in Orange County, California. From the Abbamedia recording catalog, he has won eight ANGEL AWARDS from Excellence In Media, and Hawaii's Adult Contemporary Album of the Year. His arrangements / compositions embodying smooth jazz, gospel, and vocal jazz are enjoyed by listeners in many countries.
